Old town in Warsaw

First time I have been somewhere that the unit is significantly different than the US. Feels like playing Monopoly. Not sure why they even have their version of a penny. Its worth $.003.

Polish money - Zloty
Not sure why anyone would want to pedal around and drink beer, guess its the novelty of it.
How ironic is it parked in front of a huge picture of the pope?

We started the day off with a trip to the Warsaw Uprising Museum.  This museum is dedicated to the residents of Warsaw who fought the aganist the Nazis in a valient, albeit failed, attempt to take back their city in 1944.

View from the top of the museum
80% of Warsaw's building were damaged in WWII, on top of the museum was a platform that pointed out building that survived WWII.

Lunch! Pierogies at Pierogeria.
I was tempted to try the colored ice cream cones, but that was a temptation I should have avoided.  Not tasty. Kristen did not enjoy it either, so I had to eat off all the colored flavoring from hers.
Next we walked through Old Town on our way to the Royal Castle.

Inside the Royal Castle
The Royal Castle was actually destroyed in WWII, but some pieces of woodwork and art work were saved before the Germans blew it up. They used these and pictures to rebuild it in 1974.

A day in Poland wouldn't be complete without some ice cream
