So Kristen and I just found out that Katy Perry is playing in London March 16-18. The theatre is literally no more than half a mile from our flat. Feel like I shouldn't let opportunities like this just pass by, but we have absolutely no motivation to go.
Not sure if it says something about me or about her, and her music, but one of us must be boring.

Top 25
Found this list of the top 25 things to see and do in London. Obviously since it is only 25 there has to be a ton of stuff missing, but I guess its better than the other list I found online which was 771 things to do. Would have to do 2 a day, and I think that is setting our sights just a tad too high. So we will be working through the remaining items over the next 18 months, and will keep you up to date where we are on the list. Stay tuned.

Shoulder Warmers
As I rode my bike today I came to a conclusion that leg warmers and arm warmers have a shelf life, and need regular replacement. Some of you may disagree but ask the skinny guys and they will tell you I am right.
Today as I put them on I found my leg warmers had been stretched into knee warmers. They did a good job at that but is kinda like saying a coke can take the place of DPZ. It does a good job of being a coke but a shit job being a Dr. Pepper. My arm warmers had been transformed into shoulder warmers. And damn I had some cold wrists.
Not sure why nobody told me this before, I guess maybe nobody rides in the cold for 6 months a year like it is here, but consider yourself warned.
If anyone needs any last minute Valentines Day gift ideas..... I'm just sayin'.

Nutella anyone?
When we moved over here we bought some chicken thing wrapped in puff pastry and I just thought it was amazing. Not sure why we never had bought/made it before but it was a new discovery for us. Since then Kristen has been whipping up things that at least I think are great. I am now a puff pastry freak, to the point where I eat it by itself. I know wierd! Anyway, in a grand vision of what could be simply majical, Kristen took two of my favorites, puff pastry and Nutella and mixed them together.
Not super complex, but oh so amazing.
With Kristen as my inspiration I decided to get my hands dirty tonight and make some treats of my own. Just puff pastry, nutella, and strawberry jam, but results are anything but ordinary. Ended up making turnovers (not that it was my goal to begin with) and tarts. Just 20 minutes in the oven at 400 and voila!!
P.S. your filling will expand when cooked, so you may overflow if you are not carefull. Also be sure you wait till everything cools down, alot. Molten Nutella is like lava, believe me I know!!
Enjoy

American Food
If you know Bob, you know the only thing he loves more the DDP (diet dr pepper) is pancakes. We found a suitable replacement for his DDP which is DPZ (dr pepper zero), but we haven't found anything close to american pancakes. We have made pancakes from scratch which are good, but not the same without some Aunt Jemima on them. I found an american food store that sells american syrup, but it is rather expensive. Due to Bob's serious obsession, the normal size bottle lasted about two weeks. But at long last if found this.
That's right folks, 1 gallon of pancake syrup. |
Having a mix makes it much easier. |
Yummy! |
